The Power of New

I was with a group of Chicago Booth MBA students this morning. We visited an investment management firm. There were six students, five members of the firm, and me. The five members of the firm shared their areas of interest, investment strategies, and something about themselves.

Then they opened up the floor to questions from the students. While a couple of the students had some related experience, they was the exception. That said, each person prepared, listened carefully, and posed thoughtful questions. The questions were asked with a rare combination of confidence and humility – incredibly powerful.
