Courage Compounds Success

I was with a group of friends last evening and we were discussing the stories of two women and their ability to mobilize and leverage powerful resources. One person was able to do this quite well, beginning early in her life. Yet the second person struggled and actually alienated people who then refused to help her.

What was the difference? We collectively concluded that it was courage. The first woman was willing to take responsibility for her success, follow through (even on things that scared her), and consistently advance. The second woman also took responsibility,  followed through, and advanced – BUT ONLY when it was comfortable. As a result, the first women’s actions inspired her network to help her and the second women’s network shut her out.

Food for thought.

Have a great day,
Anita
