The Paradox of Wanting it All

I was chatting with two friends this week about going all it, giving everything you have, and all around excelling.  With all the messaging around you can do anything that I read almost everyday, I was surprised by where our conversation headed.

Although from different points of view, each basically said the same thing.

  • It does a disservice to tell someone that he can do anything – because this is largely untrue and creates lots of dissatisfaction and unhappiness.
  • There is at least one thing the person can do brilliantly and succeed, be happy, and contribute.

So what about you? Regardless of where you are starting today, what tiny step can you take to excel within your strengths?

Have a great weekend,
