Do You Pivot Too Soon?

I was with friends over the weekend and one person had been working on a new idea when we met a month ago. Now it told us that he was pitching his previous “Big Idea”. We were really surprised and suggested that he reconsider – as the big idea really was BIG.

When we pressed a bit more, our friend admitted to getting discouraged by lack of progress. In the end, he didn’t pivot but realized that he needed to chat with others for support and encouragement more often.

Ultimately, when you are considering a shift out or something to which you were previously committed, be honest with yourself. Is the idea, project, or relationship challenging at the moment or something to release and move on?

Have a great day,
Anita
