Successful People Don’t Go It Alone

I used to be of the belief that I had to do everything myself and if I didn’t, I was a failure. My thinking changed at a management class I attended in the Bay Area. I volunteered to be the facilitator’s assistant for an exercise (which I am sure is no surprise to anyone who knows me). She starting handing me things to hold – one after another after another, until I couldn’t hold anymore.

Then, she and I joined forces and together we could hold way more than I could by myself.

My lesson then that I use to this day is – going it alone is less productive, effective, and fun than allowing others to help us.

Enjoy your day,

Anita
