Okay, now you have your primary goal and know the essential actions for success. These performance babysteps need to be within your control and you can and want to achieve them.
So it’s time to track success. It is critical that, on an at least a weekly basis, you review what you have done and document what went well (do you have a basis to build on) and what could be even better if (this is excellent data to see what needs to be changed – or even not done anymore).
Whatever tracking mechanism works for you – app, spreadsheet, or even paper – use it.
Decide what’s important for you to know; begin tracking it, and make tweaks along the way.
